In-Circuit Debugger

Few parts In-Circuit-Debugger for MPLAB-6

This is an In-Circuit-Debugger compatible to Microchip's new MPLAB-6 IDE (ICD2). It was designed to use as few as possible and only common components and still provide the basic functionalities wich are necessary for home use. Since it's a very simple circuit, a PCB is not needed (see picture below:-) ), so everbody should be able to rebuild this at home easily.

What is an ICD good for?

Beside the use as a normal programmer, an ICD can debug your PIC software while the PIC is operating and built into the final device. Just as known from debugging on PC, you can perform single steps, set break points, examine and modify data or peripherial file registers.
